Corporate History

The first records regarding the operations of Strójwąs Company, later on Krakowskie Zakłady Zielarskie Herbapol in Krakow, date back to the year 1946.

Since the onset of its activity, the Company has been engaged in the purchase of herbs, drying, cutting and producing of herbal medicinal products in liquid form, as well as mixtures.

In the year 1988, the control over Krakowskie Zakłady Zielarskie Herbapol in Krakow has been taken by the Voivode of Krakow, who in the year 1996 officially permitted the privatization of the state-owned enterprise Herbapol, thus forming, on March 1st, 1997, Herbapol w Krakowie SA, an employee-owned company.

The following years note the dynamic growth of the Company and the obtaining of ISO, HACCP and GMP certificates.

At that time, the Company implemented new technologies, introduced more and more interesting products to its product portfolio.

Herbapol w Krakowie SA is the largest herb production and processing company in the region. It promotes herbal medicine – phytotherapy – and continues to grow.
